Hi,

In a fit of poor planning, I started a batch of Rye Ale without properly checking the recipe for schedule.

I'm used to about three weeks between brewing and bottling, but this recipe called for racking to secondary after one week, adding some leaf hops, then bottling a week later.

I added the leaf hops on Monday, but I am gone for the next ten days, and cannot bottle next week.

Should I siphon the wort to another bucket, to get the hops out, since I cannot bottle until a week after I was supposed to bottle?

If it's relevant, I am a big fan of malty beers, but not a fan of hoppy beers.

Thanks!

Mark

Let it ride, there should be virtually no negative change in flavor with the additional time with the dry hop, and you reduce the risk oxidation from the transfer.
