Can you train them to grow down?

Hello i have two plants going right now A Mt. Hood and Nugget. My Mt hood has taken off like a weed and is now at the top of my 10ft twine. I want to know is it possible to put up another line and train it down or do you just let the top do what it wants?


Also the Nugget hasnt been growing as well and looks sickly, but there is a new 2 ft bine coming up and im wondering if i should cut my losses on the old sick bines and let the new one hold anf go from there or just leave it alone. Thanks!

If your plants are in their first year I would just let all the bines grow since your production should be negligible anyway and you are trying to set up the health of your plants for future years.
