Hey I am thinking of brewing large 5 gallon batches of Kombucha in my brew buckets. Ideally I'll just drop it into my brew freezer with the other fermenting beers, but I typically only cover the buckets with a lid and no vapor lock.
Is there chance of the Kombucha cross contaminating my beer through the air if it's left uncovered to allow air in?
