I just want everyone to know that I was not endorsing or encouraging anyone to listen to / buy Brian Posehn "metal" albums. I was simply replying to an individual who decided to drop in on the Metal portion of this forum. Now, listen to some good American Black Metal! enjoy :ban:

^^ that sucks

What sucks? Something you don’t understand / grasp? Listen again. Given it a couple listens before you just say “that sucks”! Also, are you a fan of grind/death? That may be the issue. Here is another hit of Cephalic! Hopefully, you enjoy this more!

Nice extended drone-y end to their album. They mix in Eisenhower's farewell speech into part 2 and it is very fitting, especially in these times.

Daath - Dead on the Dance Floor (not totally metal but kind of interesting)

Here is another really good Death/Doom album from 2008. This genre made a comeback right around that time, and seems to have fizzled out again. There were some good Death/Doom albums that came out around 2006-2010. It seems the traditional doom is the cool ticket now.

Does anyone here know of any good new/used CD shops in: Minneapolis, Green Bay, Milwaukee or Chicago? I'm leaving on a roadtrip tomorrow and will hit all of those cities.

I am going to see High on Fire, Pallbearer, Lucifer, and Venomous Maximus tonight. So I figured I would post a couple things from those bands.

Going old school, heading to Tacoma in February I see Black Sabbath. Jus hope Ozzie can still find the stage...

It has been 2 months to the day since anyone posted on this thread. A lot of good metal has come out in that time. I am gonna post some of the stuff that I have enjoyed in that time. :mug:

I've been thinking about that, too. I've been listening to some solid metal lately. This one is maybe the best in the last few months for me.

With the Dead

It is a trio of Lee Dorian (Napalm Death/Cathedral) and Tim Bagshaw and Mark Greening (the rhythm section of Electric Wizard during their heyday of classic albums). Their debut came out a few weeks ago and it sounds exactly like you think it would.

I can't find a link to the full album but here is a song

I realize this thread isn't really for metal news, but as I'm sure you're all aware by now, Lemmy died earlier today.

Can't say I was a huge Motorhead fan but when a legend like motherf*cking Lemmy dies, it kinnda sucks for everyone.
