How do you figure out how much hops to use when the AA of your hops does not match the AA of the hops in your recipe?

Obviously this is simple in a 1 hop beer. I assume just adjust the weight in your calculator until the final IBU is the same.

But what about multi hop beers?

My best guess... Set both hops to the recipe AA. Then change one to the actual AA. Adjust weight of that hop until the IBU matches. Then do the same for the second, then third, etc.

Seem sound? How do you do it?

just scale the amount of hops by the ratio of AA%... IE

AA_actual/AA_recipe= W_actual/W_recipe

or

(AA_actual/AA_recipe) x W_recipe = W actual
