So I built a counter flow chiller, one issue I have always had with the normal way is the refrigeration coil is so thin I know I would break it before to long. I instead used a reducer like normal but soldered it on the inside line as well as on the outside to the outer coil to support it. I used a flaring tool to create a flange for the reducer to sit into. Don't make fun of my soldering skills, I have always ran solder in until it drips out. It's ugly but it's amazingly sturdy !
