I've decided to undertake the journey of putting together a HERMS unit. I'm not expecting this to happen quickly, and in fact, I'm expecting to piece it together over the next year, hopefully doing it in a fashion that allows me to make use of parts of it as I go.

At this point, have three kegs that I'll be converting, I have my burners and the 1 1/2 inch angle iron I intend to weld together for the single tier stand.

My hope is to get the stand together and the burners working so that I can begin using it with the keggle (when it's done).

My first question is about the plumbing for the propane. As I understand you can either use black iron or Copper piping for this. I would like to do the copper piping, strictly for looks, but am unsure what size I'd need, etc. The burners are 55k and 70k BTU's, and I would need to be able to have both running simultaneously. What diameter pipe I should use and any suggestions regarding set up would be great, thanks!
