Ok, so I don't know if this problem is unique to Brewtoad, or most brewing software. I've noticed that when including hop additions at flameout, it adds nothing to the IBU calculations. In the past, I've put something like 5 minutes instead of 0 just to have it count something. That works for limited quanities, but if I'm designing a recipe based around hop-bursting, it treats it as if there is nothing.

I know that even late additions are going have a perceivable bitterness in large enough amounts. Is there a way to approximate this in IBU calculations?

So it's a Brewtoad thing. I kind of figured.

Is there any straightforward way to estimate that contribution, or is it better left to the software?
