I have used Beersmith for 13 years or so.

The UI is complicated. You have to touch many different areas to validate your brew. I have suggested that it be made more process oriented so that you deal with one screen during design, session, water, etc. They are all separate and no order or process is enforced.

I just stumbled on a feature that I should have known about...brewing altitude. I live and brew at 6240 ft in Colorado. Boil temp at that altitude is about 200 degrees F. Hop utilization is affected. So, although I liked my Sierra Nevada Pale ale at 37 IBUs for all these years, it turns out I really probably only realized 24 IBUs. So, now I'm going back over all my recipes to use the equipment profile which accounts for altitude...boy do I feel stupid!

Anyway, just found altitude in equipment profile in Brew Father. IBUs and color are completely different for same recipe while gravity appears the same...

BrewFather has an altitude adjustment under settings.

After I saw it included in BeerSmith, I asked Thomas if he could include it. It was added on in the next release.

BrewFather also has a pressure adjustment for folks who brew under pressure.
