So. Last Saturday SWMBO & I went on a tour & tasting at a newish brewery here in Charm City Union Craft Brewing
Had a nice conversation with the brewmaster & drank some tasty beer. In the course of things I asked him if he'd share some yeast.
He said "Sure. I'll be brewing later this week, so stop down"
I went in today with a small jar. He heads out back to one of the 40BBL fermentors & starts putzing around.
Comes back in a bit & says "Here. That jar wasn't big enough" & hands me a friggin' quart mason jar full of yeast!
So now I've got all these lovely little yeasty beasties sitting in my fridge.
I asked them "Sprechen sie Deutsch"? & they said "Jawohl, mein Herr"!
Looks like I need to find a good Altbier recipe!
