I found a clone recipe for magic hat and tweaked it slightly based on what I had on hand. I love the smell of the beer, and the taste, but it's really lacking something on the back end. The flavor really falls off the second you swallow it so I'm looking for some help on giving it a little something extra.
This was a 2.5 gal batch.
5 lbs 2-Row 83.3%
1 lb Crystal 60L 16.7%
Mash at 152 for 60 min
.15oz Columbus - 60 min
.50oz Cascade - 10 min
.50oz Cascade - 3 min
.15oz Columbus - 3 min
Pitched with White Labs English Ale #WLP002
Added about 2.5lbs of apricots and peaches before going to secondary.
OG was 1.054, FG 1.012
As I said, it's got a great fruit smell and initial taste, but really needs something else. Any help would be appreciated.
