Picked up a 1/2" brass hose barb that I hope to attach to my stainless steel kettle spigot. Couldn't find anything locally that wasn't brass.

Plan on using teflon tape and screwing this in permanently, are there any concerns w/ brass to stainless on a brew kettle?

Recently switched from bucket primaries to plastic carboys so I'll need the barb to attache tubing to in order to empty into the carboy. With the buckets I could just open up the valve on the spigot and let it empty.

With the two metals interacting? Don't know.

But brass shouldn't be a problem with the beer. If you're really worried, pickle it. Google it, not hard to to do.
