Bottling bucket odor

I am just getting started, I am acquiring my gear. I can get my hands on an endless supply of food grade 5 gal buckets. They contained pickles, and still smell like them. I was planning to use them for a bottling bucket. Would the odor do anything to the batch? How can I get rid of the smell?

when it comes to pickle buckets, free isn't worth the price.
