I’ve always suspected that my bottling bucket may not be accurate but I never took the time to actually measure it precisely against the actual markets.
The other day, I decided to take the time and do it.
I used a very accurate Pyrex glass 1qt measuring vessel.
I checked the 1/2 gallon mark and the full gallon marks.
Results:
I found the markings on the bucket were nearly 1 qt (1 quarter gallon) off the actual correct volume.
So just a quick heads up to those people still bottling their beer.
