For anyone who has bottled a NE style beer, is it worth it or do you lose too much hop aroma/flavor?

That's good to know. I tasted one at a local brewery & could tell it was past its peak. For this same reason, I have stayed away from brewing & bottling double IPAs.

I have a fermonster with a spigot. I was thinking of using carbonation drops in each bottle, attach my bottling wand to the fermonster, and bottle directly from the primary. Probably cap one at a time with the oxygen absorbing caps.

I have never used the drops so I don't know how good they would perform.

the drops work great. I used them last time for bottling 4 bottles (and kegged the rest). Turned out great.

this last ne ipa batch I bottled. it's good, but it does lose the in your face over the top juicyness. but it's still very good.

I have never heard of carbonation drops. Mind sharing more info on them?

could you do fermentation in the bottling bucket...sorry newbie here? Going to try to brew my first batch but someone suggested i read about bottling NE IPAs because it might change my mind

With my Fermonster, I was essentially fermenting in my bottling bucket. If I were you, place your bucket where you intend to bottle a few days prior to bottling. Set a block under your bucket on the spigot end. This will keep most of the debris away from your spigot.
