Blichmann Brewmometer Mount "Conversion" Question

I have an extra weldless adjustable Blichmann brewmometer that I would like to convert to 1/2" NPT. Can this be done? If so, how. These things cost a small fortune and I am getting ready to purchase an extra kettle from Spike Brewing to go along with my Blichmann's but would like to avoid buying another thermometer when I have this one laying around in my supplies.

"Adjustable".........The angle of the face?
What size fitting is on it now, and if you are going to have a nipple added to the kettle you are buying, why not add that size, and screw it in there?

One less joint to potentially leak!

The threads on the blichmann are not 1/2" that's the size hole ya need to drill cause it's a weldless fitting. It will be sloppy in a 1/2"npt fitting, plus blichmann fittings are not npt.
