So I just made a Red IPA/Hoppy Amber which turned out great. Only problem is the 5 gallons I brewed didn't last nearly as long as projected.
Solution: Brew more beer!
I'm thinking of a Black IPA or Cascadian Dark Ale (Black IPA is an oxymoron right?) for the holiday season.
Something malty, dark, chocolatey and of course hoppy!
I'm aiming for something like NB's Snow Day, or Stone's Sublimely Self-Righteous.
Any thoughts, advice, experience with an Ale like this?
Chocolate Malts, Black Patent, Carafa II, Midnight Wheat, Crystals?
What to use and how much?
Looking forward to Brew Day
