Today was brew day. I brewed Ed's Oktoberfest ale hit an OG1.060 @5.5 Gal., DFH 90min. OG1.081 @5 gal. The next thing was I hated the idea of thowing out all the 90min mash still containing a bunch of sugar so I made a small beer.

The small beer had an OG1.038 @2.5 gal. I didn't hop it like DFH90 as I couldn't spare the hops that are for dry hopping. I ended up doing as followed.

.40oz of Nugget @ 60
.25oz of centennial @ 15
.25oz of centennial @ 0

I pitched part of a safale -04 yeast cake saved from one of my stouts. I hope this turns out good but if not I'm not out much.

Brew day lasted almost 10 hours today, but I have 13 gallons of new brew to show for it. Another side bonus was my son came up and brewed with me today. GOOD TIMES!! :mug:
