Big A$$ Beer Fest- Philly

Knew nothing about it! That looks like a difficult fest to keep your head on. Lot's of big beers. Enjoy and report back!

So the beerfest was a waste. I mainly wanted to try Russian river, chimay, and westmalle being there. Despite being advertised, none were there. Very disappointed. Anyway, we left early and walked 1.6 miles (according to my phone) and went to monk's cafe. Turns out they have Pliny the elder and blind pig on tap. Needless to say I should have just come here.

Those smaller "beerfests" are hit or miss. The ones I have heard about have mostly been miss. I don't go to them for this very reason. I think they are geared toward those that are newer to craft beer.
