I am going to be brewing (for the first time) a Brewers Best Oktoberfest and Vienna Lager. What is the best yeast to ues for them. I don't have a fridge to use right now but do have a room that stays at about 50 Deg. F. I was going to lager it in my garage that is about 40 Deg this time of year. If I can't use the preferred yeast for these beers will Kolsch yeast be a good backup?
