Hi!!

I brewed a Coopers Pilsner 3 days ago using the Thomas Coopers Pilsner kit with 500g DME and 300g Dextrose.

I boiled the dextrose and DME for about 2min then added the can of Coopers Malt Extract can. I boiled this for about 20min. I know I should not have done this as ive read that it will caramelize. Anyway I figured that I might as well carry on and pitch the yeast to see how it may turn out in the end (ive come this far so why turn around attitude :smack:

The wort only started bubbling about 36 hours later and is bubbling once every 10s.

Is this a fruitless exercise to see what turns out or should I carry on?

Thanks guys!!!

Carry on. Sounds like you'll have some beer on your hands in a week or two.

Plus any flavor hop additions in the Cooper's can will make more bittering than flavor being boiled. I always add Cooper's cans that are pre-hopped @ flame out to preserve flavors, aromas & color.
