I have Beersmith and when you plug in your recipe, where it gives the OG and FG, SRM etc it also gives a calorie estimate. Anytime I create a recipe the cals stay at 43/pint. How do you work this function....anyone?

You must enter your calculated numbers into the OG and FG boxes (the white ones, they're originally at 1.010 and 1.005).

If you just want an estimate, enter the calculated OG and FG.

Total newbie here on the beer side of this forum!

But, I'm just wondering if this BeerSmith software sheds any light about the impact of the carbs of one 12 oz. beer on ones bloodsugar sugar levels, for diabetics?
