So I brewed a Brewers Best Kolsch. The box said it was supposed to be a Pale Gold color. Mine turned out almost Amber in color.
Is there something I may have done to cause this? It tastes fine, just darker looking.

Extract kits often come out darker because malt extract tends to burn a bit during a 60 min boil and deepen the color. Some extract brewers add the malt extract at the end of the boil to minimize this.

The same thing happened to me with the Light American Ale kit. I steeped just a little Crystal 20 to give it a touch of color..... It looks like a brown ale! It was supposed to have pilsner LME but it looked way too dark to me when I added it. Doesn't matter. It'll still be beer :)
