Anyone else experience this? I went to take a second gravity reading after going on just under two weeks in primary. It may have been my complete oversight, but it appeared to be barely fermenting based on activity in airlock. I collected the sample and put the airlock back in place. I come home today and that airlock is bubbling steadily?

Anyone ever notice an increase in fermentation after collecting a sample?

How close to your expected FG was the reading? Bubbling doesn't mean fermentation and lack of bubbling doesn't mean it's finished.

To answer your question, if you are like me you probably jostled your fermentor when you were taking a reading, which may have kicked the yeast back into action. As long as you were good about your sanitation, it more than likely isn't an infection. RDWAHAHB!! :mug:
