That is my opinion. I saw a couple of real DB snobs today at the local bottle shop today and I felt shame that others might lump all of us together in the same category.
Perhaps that is shallow of me, but I do this because I love to create beer and am always striving to get better at my craft, not trying to elevate myself through needless snobbery.

Yeah, I know. I was just disappointed to see it firsthand.

Screw em, that's my philosophy. I like to make beer at home and most of it tastes good. If someone wants to look at me shamefully for my hobby based on their perceptions that's fine, I won't share my beer with them!

Beer snobs help home brewers rise above what is generally viewed as a bunch of unwashed backwoods bootleggers.

You can say a lot about beer snobs but at least they're always clean.

..And other generalizations ensue.
