I've been playing with this for a couple of days and haven't really figured out the problem. I was trying to get the same oz per gallon the Beer Recipator came up with but I was always off by 10% or so. Here is was I did for the calculation:
((Desired CO2 - Dissolved CO2) x .49oz) x Gallons = Priming Sugar oz
So if you divided that by .905 you get the same thing that recipator does. I don't know why its 10%. The notes say 95% fermentable and the supporting materials says 15%. Whats up with that?
Oh well I've got another gadget for the spreadsheet now and there's the equation if anyone wants to do it manually (or if your internet goes down on bottling day).
