Now, if they wanted to study something interesting, use a cohort that had never consumed alcoholic beverages and see what happens.

My bet: nothing, nada, gesphincto.

Here's what I got out of it:
Beer's flavor alone, without any effect from alcohol, can lead the brain to release dopamine, a chemical associated with pleasure and reward.

Maybe even the AROMA of a good IPA triggers my dopamine

Agreed, at the end of my day at work just thinking of tapped beer at home I start salivating.
