Not beer cheese perccei,but my kids always ask for it during the holidays. combine in bowl;
1 bar softened cream cheese
1 container french onion dip (small regular size one)
1.5-2C of grated cheddar & monty jack cheese
1 bag English walnuts,crushed in blender to course grain
combine softened cream cheese,chip dip,& Shredded cheese as evenly as possible. Do not use a mixer or blender. The air whipped inot it keeps from solidifying later. A wooden spoon & rubber spatula are great here.
cover bowl with plastic wrap & fridge till firm. Lay out plastic wrap & turn cheese mixture onto it,rolling into log shape. Then roll it in the crushed English walnutes,place on platter surrounded by Melba Rounds,garlic flavor is best. Toasty crunchy roasty garlic flavor with this chees goes good with pale ale. This is the first time I've given the recipe,so I hope y'all like it as much as we do. I've been making this recipe for some 30 years. Simple & addictive.

That looks tasty except for the walnuts which I have a mild allergy too and don't necessarily like the taste. Really hoping to get a beer cheese recipe as it seems to fit the occasion. I might make this some day though minus the nuts.

Try using flavored bread crumbs instead. That works too. More like something to go with the beer,rather than beer in it. Remember the brooklyn brewery guy's beer & food seminars...
