Recently went on a quest to make a delicious banana beer for my wife. She loves wells banana bread beer so I figured I would give it a try. Mine turned out with a little more banana flavoring and aroma. But I think it's perfect.

Here ya go!

8.5lbs Pilsen
1.5lbs victory
.5 lb Vienna
5 lbs of roasted bananas at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until brown.

Wyeast 3068

60 minute hop addition 1oz kent goldings
10 minutes hop addition .5oz kent goldings
10 minutes 3 vanilla beans cut open. (I have the exact weight written down somewhere)

Ferment for one week at 68-69 degrees F.
-temperature of fermentor was 72-74degrees

Put in secondary with 5lbs of frozen banana for one week at 68 degrees F

Move secondary to fridge for one week.

Bottle for 2 weeks.

Enjoy!

How did this end up? Was there any difference from the Wells?

Sounds good but dumb question, you roasted the bananas then froze them? Got a pic of the finished product?

Oh these beers are long gone. I actually had some for a while but after about six months I started getting some weird floaters in it. It still tasted fine but it was strange. At first it was perfect then it was ok. But to answer your question, yes I roasted then froze the bananas
