Hi, my name is Patrick. I started drinking craft beers in 2006. After learning so much, meeting so many great people, seeing the boom of the industry, etc., I decided to try my hand at brewing.

Started my first brew, an Irish stout from a kit, today. Also working on my Cicerone certification.

Nice! If you aren't already, look into getting involved with a club. I'm a member of New London Brew Club ( http://newlondonbrewclub.com/ ) It might be a bit of a drive for you, but there are some really awesome people there. Check out the American Homebrewers Association for other clubs in the area. That's how I found NLBC.
