Very interesting recipe, and I'd like to try making a batch for my daughter, who loves Redd's Apple Ale.

I did have one question, and I apologize if it sounds foolish-when would you add the cider? Pre Boil, last 15 of boil.

Thanks

Not my thread, but stevehardt, I'd add the cider to the fermenter and blend it with the wort at pitching temperature. For a yeast I'd use an English ale yeast (example: White Labs WLP002). You generally don't want to boil cider as it will create pectin and make it near impossible to have a clear cider.

this post reminded me of a video i watched about a week ago on youtube on graff. might help you perfect your recipe.

I've been doing some planning as I prepare to make this recipe...

Does anyone know how much apple juice is 2 lbs 8 ozs? Would this be 40 ounces?

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated
