Anyone taking the OU Chemistry of Beer course

Hey is there a forum for people taking the OU Beer chem course. I have lots of questions and would love to bounce some questions off of people. First question is the anomeric carbon the carbon next to the oxygen that forms either the beta or alpha ring?

Sweet thanks yeah I searched chemistry of beer and O of U chemistry of beer. And the thread was more about the start of the class, any discussion about course materials isn't occurring there. Thanks though

The course includes online discussions that are carried on by participants including the professors. Great feedback and answers to questions such as yours. And you are correct about the anomeric carbon.
