I'm budgeting to build out a 3 vessel herms system and I'm between the high gravity, Spike and Brau Supply. Can't find any reviews/owners of the Brau system and it looks like an interesting alternative to the other 2.

I’m hoping to move in a year or so. I’m wanting to build my own. I’d like make a 3 keggle, 50 amp system. I’ve always had a 3 tier gravity. I like the process. I’ll continue on, but with electric and pumps. Part of the fun is reading and studying up.
When you get started, post pics of your build.

I would disagree that building your own vs buying a functional equivalent system are in the same ballpark. Ive built a few now and prices for components vary dramatically and it doesnt always have anything to do with quality. its more about convenience and speed... If you want everything delivered at once next week expect to pay 35 to possibly 100% more for the parts from most one stop reseller shops.
I'll use an example.

$20 shipped..
Same probe from same manufacturer.

You aint kidding. I have a brewtronix hosehead sitting here now and the bulk of the herms sutff coming from stout. Total outlay not including kettle and hlt elements $2K. Already have the stainless table, pumps. Glad I spent more time going this route. The brau system looked interesting but the deeper I dug into pricing things out it was still too much for me.
