Anyone ever expirement with tea-infused strike water??

Wondering if anyone has tried this before: striking your grains with,,tea.

essentially what im trying to do is brew a blood orange red hefe, and im thinking about infusing the mash water with red tea leaves while the water recirculates to strike temp, remove the tea(bags) and mash as usual.
As far as i understand tea is tannic by nature so that should bring my Ph down some right? anythoughts on if this would affect conversion or efficiency much?
