I was told in my other thread to pop the lids off my cider bottles while they were fermenting. I thought i would have a try.

A drank a cup. Now im feeling tipsy. I'm just wondering, are there any health risks associated with drinking cider that is still fermenting or has only just fermented for that matter? Is it less risky to drink it once it has aged?

If anyone cares to know, it tasted delicious. Much better than I expected it to taste. :)

Yeast is full of vitamin B complex, aside from the alcohol, it's good for you!

Wait....pop the lids off the bottles while they are still fermenting? Hopefully you mean "buckets" or "carboys"

It sounded like you were talking about glass bottles and cider that had not been finished fermenting, if that were the case I would say yeah there are a few "health risks" and I'd advise in a good set of ear muffs or plugs and some safety glasses.
