Another Hello From Virginia, Southwest part

I saw everybody else doing this so I figured I might as well too,

Just bottled my first batch of Light Ale AG, smelled ok, tasted not too bad for the first shot at it, even without carbonation it tasted better than BMC. I've got several other kits coming my way in the next few days.

The wifey really loves me, she bought me the biggole kit from morebeer, so I jumped straight into AG.

Any other brewers close to me? Any brew clubs around here? Any brewing shops in Bristol, Blacksburg or Roanoke? I can't be the only one doing this around here.

I have Shakespere Stout, AHS Double Chocolate Stout, A Pumkin Spice ale (SWMBO favortie), 2 more Carboys, and various other stuff coming from AHS, and an Imperial Stout & Nut Brown Ale coming from morebeer, so I think I'm headed down the road. I also have a friend of mine who works for a beer company on the lookout for kegs, I already want a kererator after my first botteling experience last night.

Hello from Blacksburg!

I'm just embarking on my first batch. I got a Cooper's kit for Christmas and am giving it a go before venturing into the "real stuff".

Eats (located inside Oasis on S. Main in b'burg) has some homebrewing supplies & a local homebrewing mailing list. I just put my address down today so I can't report yet on how useful it is. They don't carry Star San, unfortunately...I'm trying to track some down now. We just moved here from Roanoke, I'm trying to think of where I've seen homebrew stuff there. I know Sumdat Farm Market has some.

Where in SWVA are you?

I have been to both Blue Ridge Hydroponics (Roanoke) and Eats (blacksburg). Blue ridge has lots better selection.
