Made up a batch of Apfelwein.......Thursday night......not a single bubble of fermentation yet......it is Wyeast 4184.

I am thinking I have a bad batch of yeast.

Is it a bust or can I just grab and new packet of yeast and re-pitch?

Also, if I re-pitch, should I rack to another bottle???

I really hope I can save this batch....:(

Give it some time, the yeast will do their thing. Bucket or carboy? Lack of airlock activity does not mean lack of yeast activity, especially during the lag phase.

What temp are you at? If you're too cold, it will stunt fermentation.

Are you fermenting in a bucket? (I'm guessing yes, and I'm guessing you're basing it off airlock activity) Buckets leak and sometimes don't show activity in the bubbler for a while. I did an apple wine back in the day in a bucket. It took like 4 days to actually show bubbles.

If you're really wanting to know whats up, check your gravity.

Nope! Glass carboy all the way for me! Airlock sealed with vodka!
72* degrees on a concrete floor...thoughts?

Well you pitched yeast that had 1% viability so you basically pitched no yeast. You will need to get and pitch new yeast.

You didn't mention OG or batch size. If five gallons and over 1.040 you should really pitch a starter or at least 2 packs of liquid yeast.,
