When you all are making recipes, just wondering about what % of the total IBUs you like to get out of the 60min bittering addition vs late hops? I have been doing recipes in reverse doing my late hop additions first and then just adding bettering hops to get to my final desired IBUs. Just wondering what percentage everyone else is coming up with. I realize this is going to be a greatly varied response

The last IPA I made, which I would describe as balanced, had ~20 IBU contribution at 60 minutes and another ~20 IBU at 20 minutes.

I then added 2.5 oz at flameout and 2.5 in the dry hop for a 5 gallon batch.

Mostly poking in here to see what others do when deciding on their bittering charge.

My traditional schedule is about half the IBU with the 60 min bittering charge. Starting to experiment though with a smaller 60 min addition and adding a hot whirlpool steep.
