I'm wanting to do another Amber Ale and have tweeked the recipe a bit.
Looking for some feedback on this. I have added a little oat flakes to try and get a little creamier or heavier beer as this beer has always come out a little thin for me. Also increased the grain bill and hops from the original recipe.
Thanks

I have since revised my recipe since the last post.
Is there anything that looks out of place here?
Thanks

Personally, I'd replace the carapils with a light crystal (20L to 40L). I like about 15% crystal in an amber, and it doesn't really need extra body from carapils.

I'm also not a fan of oats in ambers. You could raise the mash temp to increase mouthfeel.

I brewed an amber ale recently using 12.5% ~C80 and loved it. I find the darker crytal really adds a lot of depth and complexity. I also included a touch of Melanoidin malt which added an interesting malt background:

AMBER ALE
77.5% MO
12.5% C75
5% Wheat
5% Melanoidin
Warrior @ 60 to 15 IBUs
Centennial @ 10 & 2 (enough to make batch 30 IBUs)
US 05

Thanks for the input. That actually looks good! I bumped up my C80 to 12% so well see how it turns out.
