I racked this cider to secondary last week because it looked like it was finished. Went down to check it today and this is what I saw!
This is fresh pressed cider with a cup of dextrose and wild yeast. Milky bubbles and milky film on carboy.
Tell me what has happened?

Well, for one thing there is a LOT of headspace there. That allows oxygen loving contaminants (wild yeast, bacteria) to take hold. Not to mention oxidize the cider.

Yes, it looks like something is growing. I'm not sure from the photo, but it does look like lactobacillus.

You could try racking onto k-meta(campden tablets) in the amount of 1/4 teaspoon of the powder per 6 gallons, or 1 crushed and dissolved campden tablet per gallon, but it must be racked into an appropriately sized vessel with no headspace for any chance of saving it.
