So, I'm worried now. I got my extract kit together and had them mill grains before shipping. I got it yesterday, opened up the box, and EVERYTHING is mixed all together, nothing is seperated. So, can I still scale this down to 2.5 gallons, for example, or are all my ratios going to be off?

All grain extract  Maybe you mean partial mash ? Also confused on what you were originally going to do. Were you buying enough for a 5-6 gallon batch and going to do 2.5 gallons splitting the grain bill? What is your recipe and how much is extract ?

So in theory you can split the steeping grains in half. However, you could never be sure of what you are getting in each pile.

Just go with it! Worst case is you have two slightly different beers.
