Found a recipe for a Caramel Amber Ale on here with at grain bill noted below and hops. I'm thinking of using different hops since I have not used Chinook.
Looking for advice and suggestions to go with the grain bill/plan.
Grain bill;
7 lbs 2 row pale
1.5 lbs Caramel 60L
1 lbs Candi Belgian Syrup Golden 5L at 15 mins
Mash in at 150 for 60 mins.. Mashout at 170 for 10 mins.
Boil
Add .75 oz Chinook at 60
Add 1 oz Chinook at 0
Add 1 oz Williamette at 0
1056 American Ale yeast with Starter
I have some Simcoe, Mt. Hood, Norther brewer, Cech Saaz, Kent Goldings, and a few others on hand.
I can also get any hops at the LHBS so open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance. Brews on tomorrow. New Blichman, ALL grain system and 25 gal SS kettle. Kettle is for sale btw if interested. Pretty nice upgrade that I'm already building another one.
Cheers!![Mug :mug: :mug:](https://cdn.homebrewtalk.com/smilies/sdrinking-100-154.gif)
