tomorrow i will be brewing my first thought out/ researched beer. before this i have been throwing in ingredients and hoping things work out. now i need some advice on this oatmeal porter i will be formulating.

Heres the ingredients

6 lbs amber extract
1 lb Dehusked Carafa® I
1 lb chocolate wheat
1 lb caramel 60L
1 lb lactose
1 lb oats (flaked)

2 oz perle hops
1 oz fuggle hops

White labs irish ale yeast

So i want to end up with a very thick, very dark porter. so i will be mashing at just above 150 degrees. but i dont know how long to mash for. im also thinking about using about 4 oz of maltodextrin to increase thickness. should i add another lb chocolate malted barley to get the color i want?

your thoughts are greatly appreciated
