Probably the most nooby question I've ever asked here:

"Add X at Y minutes."

Y min LEFT? Or Y min into the boil?

I keep seeing this phrasing on different recipes and it struck me the other day that I might be reading it wrong.

its done as a countdown to the end of boil

60min addition would be right when the boil starts
15min addition = 15 left in boil
0min addition is when the boil ends

It means minutes left on the boil. I.E

60 minute boil total

45 addition with 45 minutes left

15 addition with 15 minutes left etc

beat me to the punch ^
