here's the experience:
i did half a batch of RIS standard recipe, and half batch (2.5 gal) with addition of chocolate powder and mint extract (neither of which contain sugar). i noticed that the choco/mint stout has carbed up nicely but the standard has no sign of carb life yet.
bottled on the 20th of Feb, both stored since at 71/73, and i wonder if it matters regarding bottle size? the standard was bombers and the chocomint was 12oz'ers.
i cant think of any obvious reason other than the choco and mint additions. but why is this, what has caused it to carb faster?
