So i got my temp controller, brandnew ge 7 cf freezer and set it up yesterday. Setpoint is at 38 and let it sit for two days...temp has been between 30-32 and probe is in the bottom touching the air, not sides.

Any idea whats going on? Certain setting the freezer has to be set to? I didnt change any other settings.

Thank you

Two things...
-Put the probe in a water bottle
-Change the differential from the default setting of 5 to 1. This will keep you within a tighter temp window.

I wouldn't put the probe in a water bottle - it isn't water proof.

What most people normally do is tape the probe to the outside of a keg with some sort of insulator around the probe.
