Anyone out there brew 3 gallon batches? Ive done 5 gallon batches in the past from kits, but im looking to start doing 3 gallon. Anyone have a good recipe that I can start with? Maybe for a saison or an ipa...Thanks!

I use this site...

http://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/calculator/

Go find a recipe in the recipe section of this site and input the numbers as they are stated in the recipe. It matters not what the original recipe volume is. Once you have the values all input correctly go to the pull down tap that says recipe tools and click the scale option, then scale the recipe to 3 gallons.

I do 3 gallon batches using beersmith to scale down 5 gallon (or larger) recipes. It's super simple and has worked well for me so far.
