Was told by the salesman for Suntory that once their 2.5 gallon kegs of black beer are gassed up and you start serving it's best to finish them in three days!!!!

Since starting brewing and learning stuff on this site I find myself questioning that statement. I mean you are using CO2, which protects the beer from oxidation, right? is it possible for beer to get off flavours from CO2 after only three or four days?

He may be talking about serving it with a hand pump - those pump atmosphere into the keg for serving.

If the keg is served with CO2, there is not an issue.

Thanks r2eng:mug:

You are a gentleman and a skolar.

I reckon It's just the company Schpiel and misinformation to get bar/restaurant owners' minds motivated for the benefit of the brewery:D It's definitely CO2 tank connected to the keg for pressurisation, not hand pumped, that we are talking about.
