Hello everyone!! Just wanted to share pictures of my hop rhizome progress. This is my first try uploading pictures and Im doing it from a mobile phone so please bear with me. Got my two Rhizomes Friday April 1st 2016.The first one to sprout was my Sorachi Ace. However, as you will see, the Chinook soon surpasses it.

Decided to move them to the front of my place to maximize sunlight and help with the height issues. I was also worried that after my tomatoes grew they would become shaded.

Transplated the Sorachi Ace into a bigger planter after I notice some leaf discoloration. They are both in 3 gallon planters. You can see a large difference in growth between the two. I have been training the bines around the railing of my front porch. These pictures were taken June 4th 2016.

Here are my most recent updates. Pictures taken Wednesday July 6th 2016. Chinooks have definetly outgrown the Sorachi Ace. I know they would probably do better in larger planters... but Im holding off since they are 1st year rhizomes and didnt want to run the risk of shocking them since the soltice recently passed. I dont have any burrs/cones yet and noticed others members on the forum had signs or full blown cones... any insight as to why? Im in the NY/NJ area by the way.
