I did my first extract brew in 8 years...I honestly have forgotten how fast my brew day goes with extract. From start to cleanup in under 3 hours. Don't get me wrong, I love all grain but it was nice to start just before noon and be done by 2:15.

I did an extract because I was out of base grain and didn't have the cash on hand for another bag and I was short on time this weekend. I knew it would be quicker, but you don't realize how much of your day you have for other things with such a quick brew time. I think I might brew another batch now with all the time I have left over. There goes saving money by not buying a sack of base grain.

Sure is a quicker brew day.
Until I move to a new place, I have switched to partials, extracts and ciders.
Less time, space, equipment... though I do have a new burner that I can't wait to try out this spring.
